General
Check-in begins at 4:00 p.m. local time.
Check-out is at 11:00 a.m. Late check-out may be available based on your departure day, for an additional fee, based on availability. An additional fee will be charged for departures after 11:00 a.m.
The Tennessean is a smoke-free property. A minimum $250 fee will be charged if smoking occurs in a guest room, plus any additional cleaning costs.
A daily fee ($20.00 plus applicable tax per room per day) will be applied to all reservations. The Urban Amenities Fee includes property-wide high-speed internet access (in both public and private spaces), unlimited local and toll-free calls, fitness room access, executive black car service within a 3-mile radius, executive cart service to nearby destinations, Tennessean Tuck-In Rituals, access to our exclusive bedside reading program, and daily turndown service.

Yes, we are a pet-friendly hotel! We welcome four-legged friends under 50 pounds with a nominal pet fee. Out of 82 opulent rooms and suites, we have three luxury suite types available:

Each spacious suite has plush robes and slippers, coffee stations and mini refrigerators, furnishings designed to maximize comfort, floor length mirrors in well-lit entryways and modern technology conveniences. All suites feature oversized, marble-encased bathrooms with remarkably large showers and Molton Brown amenities, as well as crisp, Frette linens on plush beds.
Yes! Our concierge team, noted for their innate ability to curate extraordinary experiences, is available 24/7 to assist you with local recommendations, reservations, and tickets to any of Knoxville’s many attractions.

No, there is no swimming pool at The Tennessean.

Yes, The Drawing Room serves delicious seasonal menus and craft cocktails, with room service also available. There are also many dining and nightlife options within walking distance of The Tennessean’s downtown Knoxville location.
Yes, in-room dining is available during the following hours:
- Monday–Friday 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
- Saturday–Sunday 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
- Saturday 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Complimentary water and Coca-Cola products are available at the front desk. Additional snacks are available for purchase at Marriott’s sundry shop, our on-site coffee shop, and our restaurant.
The hotel restaurant, The Drawing Room, is open for breakfast Monday–Friday 7:00–10:00 a.m.

Valet parking is available for $25/day or $40/overnight. Off-site self-parking is available at public lots at their published rates.
