“Kanpai” on Rocky Top

Raise a glass to Rocky Top and celebrate the start of football season with a story that spans from Knoxville to Tokyo.

Join Yoshitoshi “Yoshi” Momoki for a special evening at Maker Exchange. A University of Tennessee alumnus and now the owner of Good Ole Tennessee Bar in Tokyo, Yoshi has transformed his lifelong love for Tennessee into a gathering place celebrating Volunteer spirit, Southern hospitality, music, sports, and culture in the heart of Japan.

“Kanpai” on Rocky Top. Kanpai meaning “cheers” in Japanese, brings Yoshi’s two worlds together for an evening of handcrafted cocktails, live music, and plenty of Tennessee spirit.

Enjoy signature cocktails, browse a special Vol Shop pop-up at Maker Exchange to gear up with the perfect merch for the first game day of the season, and celebrate alongside UT alumni, community members, and friends of Rocky Top. Guests will also have a special opportunity to meet Smokey, who will make a 30-minute appearance for photos and greetings.

Come hear Yoshi’s remarkable story, reconnect with the Volunteer community, and join us for a Tennessee-style toast to the season ahead.
